Consolidated student support powered by MEP and technology engineering
-
Project Overview
When RCC decided to construct a new two-story, 44,000 SF Student Services and Administration building to provide better student support on its growing campus, our team made sure the project’s MEP and technology systems were designed to the highest standards. The former student services centers were dispersed across 12 different campus locations but the new building centralizes support services in one location. As part of the project, we also provided construction support services and managed the DSA approval process.

Solution
Our team designed the new building’s mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems as well as audiovisual (AV) installations to support digital signage communication, presentations, digital collaboration and video conferencing functions. We designed the MEP systems for classrooms, conference rooms, training rooms, a large assembly space and executive offices and outfitted them with state-of-the-art AV systems. We also standardized touchpanel and push button control solutions to meet the user needs, depending on system sophistication. This project was certified LEED Silver in January 2018.
