Behavioral Health Facilities
Creating Spaces of Comfort, Safety, and Healing
We believe healing starts with the environment. Our integrated MEPT designs go beyond infrastructure to create spaces that soothe, protect, and support recovery. Through technology and thoughtful design, facilities can become a sanctuary for patients, providing seamless comfort, security, and relaxation.
Physical Comfort through Advanced HVAC
The RUHS project includes key mechanical systems to enhance patient comfort and meet LEED Silver standards. Advanced HVAC systems ensure consistent temperature control and air quality, while zoning allows for precise adjustments in different areas. Quiet, energy-efficient equipment minimizes disruptions, and efficient ventilation reduces airborne contaminants, creating a clean, comfortable environment for recovery.

Safety through Low Voltage Technology
Safety is essential to healing. Our team implemented advanced low-voltage systems at the Kearny Mesa VA Clinic, including access control, surveillance intrusion detection, duress, and gate intercom systems. These technologies reduce stressors, providing a secure space where patients can focus on recovery in a protected environment.

Relaxation through Sensory Room Design
At UW Northwest Hospital, P2S designed a sensory room for ultimate relaxation. Minimal finishes reduce overstimulation, allowing patients to observe nature or engage in physical therapy in a peaceful setting. Our designs foster tranquility and support long-term recovery.
